Thankful Thursday

What a lovely day this is turning out to be... first of all I knew that I would have a full afternoon singing at the retirement village and dining with our choir at the Homeplace which is absolutely everyone's favorite homestyle restaurant.... situated in the Catawba Valley... the ride to it is simply amazing and the ambiance very victorian and grand...the food ..plentiful and delicious... just like granny's! And another great surprise is Lynn said he'd drive over form work this evening to join and dine with us.... now that in itself was enough to make this a remarkable... memorable day... but then last night...
Dottie called and invited me out for coffee this morning... always a treat and becoming more rare as she is working more and more... and then....
as I was online this morning checking on my fun little farm on Farmtown... who should pop over but a very special little friend, Jackson... a young man from Derbyshire England who has to be the most delightful, engaging fellow I've ever chanced to meet.... at 13 years he demonstrates the maturity and grace of one much older and such manners and interesting discussions ...this morning we discussed the state of the world, music, shared our summer vacation plans and just had a lovely chat... so special to share with new friends of other places and ages yet share the same interests and learn new things as well... totally delightful and well, my heart is full to bursting!!!
God is so good for the simplicity of friends, and the heart he has given us whereby we enjoy the
pleasures of life...
