Wednesday Hodge Podge

1. Describe love using all five senses-

What a great  way to describe love!.
This is  harder than you think because so many of my first  thoughts  are  so very much like  Joyce's,   but here goes...

sight-seeing hubby come into the room with a  dish of  quartered  apples and a dollop of  peanut butter..just because... it is  such a thoughtfully sweet gesture

sound-hearing  our  precious  2 year old granddaughter  pray  her thanks for her  baby sister

smell-that first cup of coffee  that hubby makes  and offers to me..  he is such a  sweetheart~

taste- I have to agree  with joyce on this one.... the way hubby grills  a  thick, juicy steak... charring the outside, just the way I love it, and  still   faintly pink on the inside...  yum!  I have a hankerin'  for that right now!

touch-I suppose   truly  I feel great loved when hubby will offer to sit and  rub my feet for a while...

2. February is Canned Food Month. What's your favorite food that comes straight from a can?

I like   Green Giant Niblet corn...  so crisp and sweet.. right out of the can

3.A principal in a UK school recently sent home a letter to parents requesting they(the parents!) dress appropriately when escorting their children to/from school (basically saying please don't wear your pajamas). You can read the letter here. It's gotten a lot of publicity, both positive and negative. Your thoughts? And do/did you ever make the school run (or hit Starbucks, Walmart, etc) in your pjs?

I  would never do it...ever... and I do think it is   pretty  pathetic  for anyone to think it is alright...  I mean how  hard is it to throw on a tee shirt and  some  knit pants.. or shorts...

4. Crew neck, V-neck, turtleneck, scoop neck...which is most prevalent in your wardrobe?

For me, it  would have to be turtleneck...  because I despise my  double chin...something I even had  before I  gained  all of my adult weight...  it runs on dad's family....Which  is  pretty hard  in summer...  so I bare it  go on,  but  I,  also,  can not wear  scoop neck,   because I dont like my  bodice...  I    inherited  what  my  dermatologist calls  'weeds in my garden of life"  from my mom...  those  scaly  brown spots/ growths...  that pop up   just like weeds...  I  have had  hundreds  burned off , but I can't  get ahead  with them....  bleeh!

5. I read here recently a list of four things to avoid so you wake up happier. They were late night snacks, hitting the snooze button, social media just before bed/upon waking, checking emails.

Are you guilty of any of these behaviors? Which on that list do you need to work harder at avoiding?
Oh, I wouldnt dare  late night snack.... Im on med  for  reflux as it is.. I should  put the  cell phone away and  not  play that last  game  of Sudoku  or  check  email....   it prob  is one reason  I cant  get right to sleep!

6. Share something you remember about a house you lived in as a child? Of all the homes you lived in as a child, which did you love best?

I loved growing up in the 50's  and having the house wide open...  all the windows open and  breeze  blowing in...  or reclining out on  the front  porch on our glider   reading  my Trixie Belden books...but  they both offered  the fresh air and  I particularly remember the smell and the light  of outside  right after a  rain shower....  sublime!

7.Your favorite movie based on a true story?
The Other Side of the Mountain Poster
The one  that came to mind first  was    this one about the Olympic skier  who    became a paraplegic
from  a diving accident  and the  love of  her young man  who  took such patient gentle  enduring care  of her...

8. Insert your own random thought here.

How about something to make you smile?
This  was posted  by our local weather man so Im taking it seriously!!!!
