These are suggested questions for sponsors of children through Compassion International to ask their sponsored children.
1. What is the most fun thing you have ever done?
In recent years it was actually something that I feared and dreaded... I was spending a week with my daughter in New England on my own.. I had ridden up on the train aloe, and Amanda seemed determined to get me out of my comfort zone... I was happy about this event but scared too!!
We drove down to New Port, RI to see the mansion.. well, you cant truly see them form land... YOU have to get out on the Narragansett Bay... Well, I only enjoy water by sitting beside it and watching it on dry land... Long bridges even bother me and , well there were many long bridges to get there!!! Let's us say I was glad I wasn't driving!!
Across more bridges like this and onto our boat
and out into the Bay... it was amazing!!!
The views awesome...
I was delighted!!!!
Even when we got out farther into the bay... it was so much fun!!!
The kids were loving seeing me loving it, too!!!
We even saw the largest sail boat in the world docked there!!! Wonderful and fun memories I cherish!!!
The reward at the end of the trail wasn't too bad either!!
2. Are you left-handed or right-handed?
Right handed
3. What is the nicest thing someone has ever done for you?
Just this last week, my dear friend, Carolyn, who retired from Brighton Jewelry brought me the most amazing hostess gift!
So thoughtful!!!

Apart from insects~~tree frog
6. Do you ever have funny dreams at night?
I almost always either dream strange dreams about my mother's family including grandma and aunts,, not cousins... but always at grandma's house, but it is very different... or I dream bad dreams about school... teaching school in my school but not exactly like my school, but always the same place, for example.. we are too late to dismiss class and I end up having to drive all 45 of the kids home.
7. If you could make a law for your country, what would it be?
Love your country with appreciation and patriotism, especially for what our ancestors sacrificed for us... live by Biblical morality and love for one another, in peace and unity.. I guess my type of Utopia...oh yes, and and government leaders only served no more than 6 years.
8. What would you do if you were invisible for a day?
I can't think of anything I'd want to do that I cannot do visible... doing anything under cover usually brings consequences.
9. If you could be someone else for a day, who would you be?
I suppose my daughter and get to spend a whole day with my grand daughters without any interruptions from outside the home... we would have so much fun!!!
I have so much I want to tell them and teach them about things.. like what to expect on our trip to Great Britain in the next couple of years... I would make them just as excited about what we will see and do as I am.
10. What would you like to change about yourself?
My fitness and strength.,... at my age it is harder and harder to accomplish this... but I must make the effort ... big task!! I have actually restarted walking.. I had one reason or another in the last few of years that stopped me...
11. What is your daily routine.
Get up, enjoy my coffee while I check online for a bit,, then fix breakfast, get laundry together.. Hubs brings it downstairs and either gets it started and I finish or opposite , He vacuums and I straighten and dust, we do our Bible reading and I do my Bible study. I watch a couple of TV shows mid day with lunch.. I play with my ipad, sit by the fire, read, or listen to music...some times doze, and think about getting dinner ready...
but most days it seems we are interrupted from that routine going places... we are very involved with things outside of home!
12. What would your perfect day be like?
I would do the important things written above and add to it some very special quiet time when I write in my journal what I sense the Spirit telling me... I used to do this before Hubs retired and I miss it.. I would love to spend an hour at the consignment shop and find something glorious that I couldn't live without.. probably a piece of transfer ware in either red, blue, black or green..Hubs would tell me he is taking us out to Reminis for dinner!!
13. How old were you when you learned to read? 6
14. What is the most interesting thing you know?
I know that once you seriously fall so in love with your spiritual quiet time reading the Bible or singing praises to God, there is such an overwhelming sense of peace and completion that you live with the rest of the day and you know you have been in His presence.. You with Him alone, and it transcends everything other thing this side of heaven! When I have been in that state with Him He has taken me places in the spirit and shown me things just for my edification that I never would understand from reading His word alone!! Sadly, I cannot do this with Hubs in the house... that is why I love spiritual retreats so much!!!
15. What makes you nervous?
Well, it used to be unruly third graders especially when the principal was in the room observing... now, Id say, I never feel really at peace when I'm outside alone at night.. but that is another long story... I probably will never tell on my blog.

Blue hydrangeas

I go up to the bedroom around 8 and watch a bit of telly or read, then turn out the light around 10-10:30
19. What time do you get up?
I'd love to sleep until 9( ha ha ) but I invariably wake up around 7 and can not lay abed comfortably.. I have to get up!!!
20. Do you know how to swim?
I almost drowned as a child of 4 and it was terrifying so even though my mother made me take swim lessons every year thereafter, I was too scared to learn... she finally gave up, but when I went to college, it was a perquisite for graduation..like a dummy I waited until my last semester, and dragged myself to class. I actually taught myself how to float and from there I could swim on my back, but never learned how to breathe.. the exam was jump in the deep end, come up and float 5 minutes
at the whistle - roll over and swim to the opposite end and back to the deep end and get out of the pool. I begging my teacher to be merciful because everyone else knew how to swim coming to the class.. I jumped in, floated rolled over swam as far as I could on one very long breath, rolled back on my back and swam the rest of it and back to the deep end and climbed out of the water... I got a D .. but I graduated... and I thought man.. I learned more than anyone in that dang fingled class!
