So sorry for technical problems.. have been addressed
If you were like me while I was working it seemed that everything came first.. getting our daughter off to school so I could leave and drive 45 minutes to be at my school by 7:45, that was when the first buses arrived. Yes, we were one of the earlier schools to start classes in Botetourt County, and if I wasn't there, no telling what would transpire around the classroom. It just made for a much more pleasant day for me to greet every child as they came into class! But, then, with all the planning and grading to do for my fourth graders, it would usually be at least 4 before I could leave school, sometimes 5. And our poor daughter had to stay at school until I picked her up. We would both be grouchy by the time we got home. Usually, I would flop down in the den to recuperate before starting to even think about dinner. I wasn't a mom who was so on top of things that I had dinner in the crock pot.. Often I would call Hubs and beg for him to stop on the way home for Chinese.. well, at least once a week! Getting homework done and dealing with kitchen stuff took a bit of the evening, then, I would be so drained I'd flop down in front of the tv and daughter and I would watch Sister, Sister, or any of a myriad of shows that appealed to school age girls. The next thing you knew it was her bedtime, and many times, it was mine, as well. I tell you I got a lot of praying in, but that was about all I could muster in my relationship with God. And even though I was a Christian all of those 30 years of academia, my relationship with the Lord was pathetic. It would ebb and flow.. much better in the summers, then wane when school started. It wasn't until I retired that I really gave God my whole heart and my life changed dynamically! That shouldn't be. I pray that women, no matter what their circumstances, find time to give the Lord their heart- felt devotion and focus, because I fully believe when they do, all of the other stuff of life falls gently into place! He renews and invigorates His children to accomplish life.. with time left over to do His will!
Let this glory song, flow over you!!
Now I would love to

Note: she mentions nothing about God, but when I watch it I feel His presence in the peace of it.. I will be adding a few of her vlogs in throughout the next few weeks. I think you will find them peaceful ,as well What they really do very well is demonstrate the value of intentional, slow living that really helps us to engage with our Lord and Savior! She, like I, have the extravagant blessing of not working outside the home, so if you do I think watching these vlogs is beneficial in putting peace in your heart and a smile on your face.. Probably though these slow living videos are most beneficial to us who are raising young families or like me are seeking something worthwhile to do with my time in between chores and other duties. I, personally enjoy these vlogs much better than anything on regular tv. I find them much more enriching and make me want to get up and do something meaningful! Intentional.. like baking a pan of scones for the two of us!Oh, and by the way, I always brew myself a cup of tea before watching!!!
mix together and rub the butter in until integrated leaving small clumps of butte to insure flaky scones!
1/2 c. currants or raisins
mix together 1 cup of milk and 1 egg and egg to the dry ingredients and mix together into a dough.. do not handle it too much, just enough to form a round to cut out 8 lovely scones and place on a pan.. using one egg or a small amount of milk to brush on the top of each scone and drizzle each with a bit of sugar..and bake at 350 until done about 15 -20 minutes.
