To check in on my blog and find this wonderful Award!
The Marie Antoinette Award
Photobucket
Many thanks to Becky of Holiday in the Sun for thinking of me with this wonderful tribute! Becky is such a faithful, true friend I have met through blogging! She is a gracious encourager who never fails to bless me upon each visit!
***
The Marie Antionette award is for people who are perceived to be "real" in who they are. You know...what is the point of trying to be someone you're not??
****
I just think this is wonderful! To be considered "real" is a great compliment to me, because transparency to such an important attitude to have... for it is then that God's light can begin to shine through. Therefore, I am truly honored to accept this award and am thrilled to have the opportunity to pass it on to the following fabulous ladies!
Blessings to each one!

Just in Time for Valentine's ~ A Wonderful New Award

Photobucket
What a beautiful award to receive right here at Valentine's Day! Plus, I received this from a new friend! This is why I enjoy blogging so much! It really opens the door to new experiences, places but most importantly we meet so many wonderful folks!
I received this award from Linda of Seasons of Life. Please visit her blog. It is so engaging, informative, and friendly! It looks that we share many of the same interests!
The Lets Be Friends Award is awarded to the following:
“These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers. Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award.”
I am passing this lovely award on to these great bloggers!

Blessed Award

Photobucket

I have been so completely honored to receive this award twice in the past 24 hours! First of all, my dear friend Stacey, of A Lamb in the Field chose me and then tonight I received it from a very dear cyber friend, Hip Chick whom I have known for several years through an online bulletin board we both continue to enjoy so much. One truly does meet the most amazing folks from all over the country, as well as, the world. Stacey is living in the Scottish Highlands! I would never have met her if it hadn't been for blogging! These associations really do enrich my life and give me a window to the world! It is wonderful!

"This blog invests and believes the PROXIMITY - nearness in space, time and relationships. These blogs are extremely charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in prizes or self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give attention to these writers! Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this cleverly written text into the body of their award."

A New Award

How exciting to read that I have been awarded this very special award by a dear friend, Susan at A happy Heart at Home. Her blog is always so uplifting and a real encouragement to all who visit there!
Photobucket
This award comes with a few to-do's:
1.) Say one nice thing to the man in your life:
Even after 36 years of marriage, our life together only gets sweeter and sweeter!
Our road is all the smoother, because we travel it together!
Photobucket
2.) List at least 6 ways you measure success in your life:
~Am I creating a happy, nurturing home for my family~
~ Am I saying yes to God and going where He leads me~
~Am I allowing the light of Christ to shine through me and my life~
~Is my husband happy~
~Are my children successful and centered in the Lord~
~Do I see myself as God sees me and believe and trust Him in all things~
3.) Assign 5 other blogs this award:
1. Of course I immediately think of Stacey, of A Lamb in the Field, who left her homeland to follow the man of her dreams to a remote and foreign land.
2. One of the most successful women and bloggers I know is Marie, of A Year at Oak Cottage! She also gave up her life this side of the Atlantic to start anew in England. Her multi-talents inspire all the many who followher blog!
3.Emily, of The Beautiful Life, comes to mind next. She is a Proverbs 29 woman. Raising her sweet family surrounded with beauty, the handiwork of her hands, all around her.
4. Of course, then, there is Mary of Hydrangea Skies! What a dear, dear friend she has been to me through thick and thin! Even though I only know her through Cyberland, her support, prayers, and steadfast loyalty and encouragement has meant more to me than she will ever know!
5. This list isn't complete without Karen of A Scrapbook of Inspiration! One of the most talented ladies I have ever met I just love her blog and she gives God all the glory!! Praise the Lord!!

Beautiful Blogger Award!!

Photobucket

My heart is so full! I can hardly contain my joy and the awesomeness of what this award means to me. I know you probably think wow, she really is proud of this award, and I am so very pleased to receive it, but it represents so much more to me at this particular time. I've been studying in Stepping Up and also Beleiving God, (both Beth Moore studies) how God's timing is so meaningful.
First of all, however, I do wish to thank Lisa of Blessed with Grace for awarding me this very special award along with the other bloggers who participate in her very fun food celebration each week, Tempt My Tummy, Tuesday. I love that weekly endeavor... so many fine recipes and kitchen hints! I look forward to it every week. I thank you so much, Lisa, for this great commemoration, but I am also thanking the Lord for making this possible. They say that when God closes a door he opens a window. That has been made evident in my spiritual life recently in my church ministry, but now I truly beleive God is working in my personal life to demonstrate to me how He wants me to spend my computer time. The door has closed on one very longtime internet endeavor which had always given me great joy until just recently, but now my blogging which is a deeper expression of my life in His kingdom has taken on a much greater impact on my life, and I truly believe that these wonderful awards I have received this week are God's confirmation to me to persevere here in making my voice for Him heard. God is so good.

Her testimony is far-reaching- across the Atlantic Ocean and way beyond! She is my special Dutch friend!

1. There are only five people allowed.
