National Parchment Day was submitted by PaperChef and declared by the Registrar of National Day Calendar in June 2016.
Wednesday Medley
1. Who knew there was a day to celebrate parchment paper?! Do you ever use parchment when you bake or cook? Sometimes. Tell us about your favorite way to use it, please. There are some items I have baked that are so delicate that lining the pan with parchment is a must..
2. When Terri thinks of parchment paper, she usually thinks about special writing or artist papers. She loves using specialty papers for creating cards or other art projects. Tell us about a creative way you have used parchment paper other than to bake with! When I taught 3rd and 4th grades I had a project where the students made maps of Virginia settlements much like what John Smith might have made of the rivers and Indian villages.
4. Tell us about something you baked or cooked in the past week or so that turned out great, parchment or no parchment. Will you share the recipe? Gee, I haven't done much cooking on a grand scale in the last month or so..

5. The last Wednesday in June!! How can that be? Has your June flown by or have you been able to enjoy each day and make it slow down for you? I agree time is flying ... the good thing is our daughter and her family will be with us in August.. now then I will want to put a brake on time!!!
I have been feeling so poorly lately mainly due to my allergies and sinus issues and yesterday I finally had my appointment with the ENT..I had gone to an ENT for years, but a couple of years ago I stopped going because I was taking a BP med that was a beta blocker and couldn't take allergy shots anymore. I recently changed my BP meds so I can again, so I will go in July for allergy testing again.... that is something to look forward to! I suppose..
