Time
Perhaps we might talk about time and how we use it.
1. Early to bed, early to rise? Do you have usual times to go to bed and get up in the morning? How do they work out for you?
I usually go to bed around 10 :30 and am up at least by 7:30. I will share though I have been known to awaken at 3 am, lie awake til 5. Finally get back to sleep and get up around 8. So it seems my body gets along with 6 -7 hours of sleep many days.
2. Ecclesiastes says "To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven."
How much time is devoted to work, housework, hobbies? What about religious pursuits like study, prayer, services? In other words, how is your time apportioned?
Lynn and I share household duties. For me toting anything up and down stairs is impossible, so Lynn does the laundry. I do the clean up around the main floor. We share cooking chores He does breakfast and I will do lunch and dinner. He has always done the vacuuming. I dust and mop. I do all home decorating. We work upstairs together ….we change the sheets together…we each make up our own side of the bed each morning. We each take care of our own clothing.
My hobby these days is sketchbook drawing, and water colors. I follow along with Sketchbook Skool YouTube videos. This newer hobby is something that really gives me joy. I spend free time drawing.
My Spiritual time is spent in reading through the Bible.. usually a chapter from 4 books of the Bible a day. I may do some journalling. I spend time in private prayer. But, also, we spend 6 hours a week in corporate Bible study and prayer. We spend 3 hours at church on Sunday morning. In nice weather we usually attend evening services, as well.
Lynn and I do not usually watch tv together, unless it is a special program like All Creatures Great and Small. Or sometimes we invest in paid programming to watch special series we enjoy together. For example, we really enjoy British detective series, we sometimes might pay to watch Acorn network. He Otherwise, he then watches sporting items like races and games while I watch Hallmark or GAC in another room.
3. Do you think you manage your time well or would you like to improve? How would you improve? I am happy with how I spend my time.
4. Do you think time travel is possible? Why or why not?I love to read time travel books. But I do not believe it is real.
I just believe time travel is best devoted to fiction. As a Christian the concept to me does not fit in the reality of Christianity.
