Saying Yes To The Hodgepodge
1. Last thing you said yes to? Did you regret it?
Well, I decided to open our home for our regularly scheduled prayer group this week.,. We haven't met for prayer here since March and the need to so great. We did attend an inperson prayer vigil last Friday and my group os so small social distancing will be easy. We ahd tried to do a conference call for prayer, but I think in person prayer will be more meaningful.. I do not regret it.
2. No big deal, no contest, no dice, no hard feelings, no ifs ands or buts, no kidding, no offense, no pain no gain, no way...choose one and tell us how it applies to your life currently.
I love Joyce's response to this and that is a hard to top.. SO true!!!!!
Here goes, This quarantine time has been a wake up call to the church to dig in and realize that there is a huge need to get back on mission with God to accomplish the Great Commission. Nothing like this hardship and difficult time tenderizes the hearts of men so much, so now is the time to take the gospel in loving ways.. not with a hammer on the head but with love, kindness and mercy to demonstrate who God is.. The world needs to know the savior/God through the church's love and compassion. no if's, and's, or but's about it!
3. Thursday June 11th is National Making Life Beautiful Day...in this strange season how are you adding beauty to your days/life? I love bringing flowers into the home.. My hydrangeas are blooming like mad.. still sort of smallish but I am definitely cutting some to bring in and enjoy for the weekend!!!
4. According to an article found here, these six foods taste better in June than at any other time of the year-strawberries, asparagus, peas, peaches, beets, and garlic. How many of these have you tasted so far this month? Anything on the list you'd say 'no thank you' to trying? Rearrange the list starting with your favorite (1) to your least favorite (6).
Golly, I love them all equally.. This looks like the perfect grocery list for today while I'm out.. I have my first allergy shot today in months ! And do I ever need it!! Achoooo!
5. Describe your current mood in three words.
a bit (discouraged) , (pleased) with my doctor's report, (hopeful,) that our Sil can really help us get zoom to work on our main computer... it quit working when we updated it bah!
6. Insert your own random thought here.
Gee, life is pretty low key and dull if one can not think of a random thought..I think I've trained myself to just go with the flow and not let things get to me or think too hard about what is really going on. After being an empty nester now for 15 years.. I realize we do not qualify for than one anymore...as I have learned to get into the queue for getting in touch with our family.... I will be turning 70 in a few weeks and I used to think it would be the end of the world, but after what we've been through for the last months.. well, turning 70 is a cinch, if I make it that long.. I 've heard a lot about people older than 65 should be just expecting the end at any time.. we are more susceptible to sickness and death apparently. Man, this question is going south! I am not that bad.. yet.. Well, I have been under spiritual attack for the most part of the year.. one painful malady after another.. I went to the doctor yesterday for a reg checkup and happened to mention the pain in my arm when I move it a certain way ... The x-ray showed I have a torn rotator cuff.. I begin therapy in a couple of weeks.. apparently the therapy center I chose is really busy.. Who knew folks would be going to therapy these days.. I mean all the times I was so desparately ill over the past few months, I was only allowed to do a conference call with my doctor, but the therapy clinic is over run.. yet, my hair is so long and slouchy, I scare myself when I look in the mirror... I am so confused ... just forgive me for attempting to answer this one! Well, it truly is a hodge podge!😜
