To commune with God is to experience true joy.
A solitary nature walk with God is a wondrous way to feel God's presence.
I remember hiking up Peaks of Otter on the Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia as a teen with our youth group.
The hike up was a moderate climb.. about all I was into doing, but after a while I forgot about the climb and focused more on God's creation!
We were assigned to stay close in together but not too close so we could feel God's presence.
Along the trail were intermittent breaks through the rocks at the scene below the mountain. The colors were magnificent, the landscape stretched far away to the horizon. This type of view you had to work for to see..
It was as if you could reach up and touch heaven! It has been
55 years since my last climb, but I remember it as if it was yesterday, because anytime you experience God I believe it is sealed away in your heart forever!
One couldn't help but feel God's presence and to praise Him for His handiwork!
Once you reached the peak of the Peaks God took your breath right away with the amazing panoramic view!
55 years since my last climb, but I remember it as if it was yesterday, because anytime you experience God I believe it is sealed away in your heart forever!
