Wow! What a week! I am 70 years old and I have NEVER seen such a time as this! As I was doing my journal time I kept thinking about how thankful I am that I have reached a time of life where even though things are going crazy around me and there appears to be little hope for things to improve, yet, I am full of peace! That peace that passes all understanding. Oh, I would remember times of Middle Eastern turmoil in the 80's and 90's which actually continue to today - I would think, goodness people, this sounds just like Armegeddon... Do we really have to be fighting there, now? I was a poor student of End Times and probably a poorer student of faith!. .. to tell the truth my faith didnt really begin to grow in earnest until I retired in 2003.. It was then I started digging deeper, attending Bible Studies and prayer groups..So fear has for the most part been eradicated. Because I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep that whcch I've committed unto Him against that Day. 2 Timothy 1:12
So for me now during this time of uncertainty I have passed all my concerns on to the Lord. He is more than able to take them into consideration and shelter me f rom anyhting the enemy has to fling at me. If in His perfect will I should become scathed in some way by anything untoward, I know that it will work out for my good! For that is how He has dealt with me for these 70 years. He has seen me through things and always will. SO I either stand in His presence or shelter under His wings. I feel safe!
This is also a time for concerted prayer. Many are fasting and praying for God's best outcome in our situation.. I understand from the people I follow that things may get ever worse in the coming days than now, so I choose to stay off of the airways! I find GOd's Word the place for me! Also, praise and thanksgiving is always a greeat way to have God's attention... SoI am feeling very hopeful that in the end, God will provide a way!
