Blogging

Hosted by Annie,

 1.  How often do you blog? What helps you blog.. what hinders you? I try to blog every day. I like to join a meme every day of the week except Sunday. Sometimes I miss Thursday and Saturday because of time restraints.

2.  What benefits do you get from blogging? Are there any?I enjoy blogging. Many days it is the only writing I do and I find writing very pleasurable. I think of my blog as an online album of life events.

3.  Have you ever changed your blog theme?  No.

4. Where do you get your ideas for blog posts?   From the various memes I follow and also the Holy Spirit has led me to topics now and again. I do wish for my blog to be inspiring and to honor God

Blog Party

This morning I ran across this theme which struck a cord with me... for blogging is such an important part of my life now that I am fully retired I felt it was imperative to document where it is exactly that I party everyday.... so I suppose you could say this is the control center to my mania....
When our daughter left home I commandeered her room in which to create my own studio..thus here we have Blogging Central!

For me it is essential to have my books and music around me for my inspiration... and believe me it isnt alwys this put together... you just happened to catch me following a clean up weekend!!HEEHEE!

This corner of my home calls me first thing in the morning and I spend the twilight hours here as well... blogging has become my outward form of my inner expression.... my reality in this ever changing world..
Centsational Girl hosts this theme today and it is wonderful to see where folks all over create from within!

A New Beginning

Photobucket

To kick off my third year of blogging I wanted to share what are the most important things in my life...just like the beautiful spring garden, my life is springing forward with life, love, and happiness these days!!
First would have to be my family...my wonderful husband, Lynn, who completes me in every way!
Photobucket
He is the head of our family, our home, and our lives together just keep getting better and better.
I am blessed to still have my parents...
Photobucket At ages 87 and 91,,, God is great to maintain their health and capabilities to still remain in their own home. Praise God for his tender mercies everyday!!

Our daughter and son in law bless us beyond measure...

such a handsome couple it is difficult to find a single photo...

God has blessed their marriage, their home, their jobs, and their lives with untold blessings and opportunities!!
Next I am thankful for my church and the friends I have there...

Our prayer team and the growth we are making in our relationships there with one another and with God.

Change

Photobucket

I know if you visit my site often you have noticed things change regularly. I have always been one who can not stand things to become stagnant. I used to move my furniture often which was great when I had much fewer pieces and more space. Now I am pretty much limited to my current arrangement and so I am so happy to apply change to this.. my blog. I love to find exciting new backgrounds which motivate me to new themes and ideas.
I,also, love to change my music. Playlist makes it so easy to explore music, I only wish I could find more by certain composers and performers that I admire so much! But I love to just turn on my blog and listen to the playlist during the day. When I found George Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue I had to add that in. That has a very special meaning to me. About 1000 years ago when I was a senior in high school, I was preparing for my 12th and final piano recital and Mrs. Ferguson brought out this 28 page turning piece. It was a favorite, but I just didnt know if I could manage it. I persevered, however, and finally did perform it with the music one fateful evening in 1968. It was I suppose my crowning moment in the history of my life. I love to sit here and just playing it... over in my mind as I listen, but I could never really play it again! It remains a lovely memory, though!

I Love to Blog

PhotobucketCan you tell I am a hydrangea fanatic! And blogging allows me to just go gaga over ways to work hydrangeas into my day! I also love blogging because instead of having to change my furniture around every week, I can now change my header and title around as I am sure you have noticed, i can't seem to settle down with either one! I hope this hasnt given anyone a headache thinking about who I am each day, I suppose I am just a little different everyday. But I must say, now that my header is a blue hydrangea, I just might stay this way for quite a while. I am working on a couple of folks to start blogging and share their creative acumen. I find it such a wonderful release of creative overflow. And it gives my day a purpose beyond myself without having to leave home! Did I mention... I love blogging!!

Farewell

After  17 years of   blogging  I am  pretty sad to  just fade  out  with  hardly  anyone showing any   farewell,  concern  about my  surger...
