For the past 2 Sundays I have been explaining the truths from John chapter 13-14, setting the stage for what John has to say continuing the concept of abiding, but now using the metaphorical vine scriptures.
In short, abiding in the vine means receiving and believing and trusting in the words of Jesus. It means receiving the love of Jesus for the Father and for his people and the joy that Jesus has in the Father and in us. But let’s take it further and see what Pastor John Piper has to say about this in-depth concept that the beloved Disciple John spoke of in his texts- the book of John chapter 15.
