I am joining this party over at Create with Joy Just about anything goes as long as it inspires, is creative, and nurtures a creative spirit...
For me as I begin this new year it has to be my Christian Planner..
Of course, I picked my favorite color... but the exciting part is right inside the cover!
That is where I am using colored ink pens to write my favorite verses as I come upon them... oh, how I would love to memorize them... some of them are becoming more and more a part of me!!!
Next is the Vision Board for the year.. left so completely open ended I can be as creative in sharing my vision as I wish to be..
Ok, I do see a misspelled word, but there again I am not perfect!
Next are my healthy habit goals... things I know I need to do but compromise on so much of the time...There is something about seeing it written down that really pushes me to get it done. And it is added to as new habits become known to me.. For example, I really need to strengthen my abdominal floor at my age .. now I have myself telling me "get it done now!!!"
Then it was a great fun to choose some goals for 2019.. I shouldn't have told my husband about redoing the laundry room. He is after me everyday to get down there and clear it out... I'm not quite ready to do that yet!!!
There we have the month at a glance... I want to be more creative here, but it will come in time!!!
Then you have the week at a glance..each day divided into morning/afternoon/ evening. I have been keeping track of the Thru the Bible reading I'm doing each day which helps keep me on track!
Last week's days all filled in!
A section for sermon notes
And weekly devotionals
I love this section. tracking healthy habits putting in my eye drops... since my surgeries and had so many drops on various days this really helped me not to forget... counting the glasses of water... one of my problems is not hydrating enough!! Even doing a good deed... preferring one another... sending a card or making a call... I still need to do this this week! As well as, extra walking... so cold and damp... I'm waiting till we are at church to walk the track! But being more intentional about health habits for instance.. ok, I gained 6 pounds over the holidays.. I have intentionally watched what I've eaten since the New Year and have lost 4 of those pounds I know many folks don't need to even think about such things, but for me it really helps!!!

One thing about this planner is it is so much fun to do that I know I will keep it up... another thing that has really helped me... you would never dream what a mess the guest room was .. the place where I stage all my laundered clothes... things were piled mile high on the bed because I needed to go through the drawers in two rooms where I put folded clothes and get rid of things I never wear to donate or throw away. I set a habit of spending the first 20 minutes after I arise going in there and just doing something to make head way and now the bed is all cleaned off and the drawers and closet are in order...and now I immediately hang up and put laundered clothes away!! Wow, at 68 I have learned to deal with my clothing!!! I set 20 minutes a day to clean something! It works for me so far!!!
PS. I have been so authentic and honest here because there may be others who may need to know they aren't the only ones who need help in areas of life... there is hope with setting a plan of action and doing it! And it is fun!!!
