Tuesday Finding Joy

First of all, I must ask!   If you are an American, have you voted? If not , then  your non-vote is a vote for the wrong person! Everyone needs to vote!!

Now let's think about joy! What does the Bible say about joy?

 - Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;

 - Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

 - Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.

 - But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

 - Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.

 - Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:

 - A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.

James 1:2-4 -
My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

 - And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.

 - For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

 - Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.

 - Rejoice evermore.

 - This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

I cannot even imagine  these kinds of joy if I wasn't abiding in the Lord..  It takes time with Him to understand  the full meaning of these  verses...  to think that different temptations  ultimately bring us joy in that   through trial our patience is strengthened,  and  enduring patience   perfects us.   God really looks deep into us to  execute the ongoing  work in us to  perfect us to be more and more like  Jesus!! We are being perfected more each day! And therein  lies JOY!

Tuesday -Finding Joy

Romans 15:13  Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Spirit.  Another way to  say  this verse  is "Joy, peace, and hope are three marks of a Christian, and this verse shows the way in which they are intermingled. Joy, peace, and hope all come from God, by the power of his Holy Spirit.

Paul meant this verse as  a blessing and a prayer.  He was telling us we can have these three  gifts from God, Joy, peace, and  hope when we put out faith and trust in Him.  Because He is faithful,  He loves us, and His love and mercy endure for ever.  Even through any trial I may face.  I feel like I am in this  gifted  place today, because  even with everything that  is going on in our world, YouTube videos that  warn of  such terrible  oncoming perils,   the  news  about   increasing crime,  and   recession, and   food shortages.. I can remember a time when I would be a nervous wreck just considering one of these things, much less all of them.  But with God,  I know whom I have believed  and am persuaded that He is able to keep that which I have committed  unto Him against that day. Timothy 1:12  tells me I need not  fear  because  God holds me in the palm of His hand  or  places me in the cleft of the rock  and I will not be moved  by anything the world throws at me. And even if  perchance  I am overcome by the world  I know that  He has  a perfect plan for my good.. even in death. Believing this  keeps me in a state of  peace,  hope and  joy.. Praise God He is able to accomplish much in our lives and mostly reveal to us His faithfulness in the events of our lives!!!   Please watch this  wonderful   11 min video!

Tuesday -Finding Joy for a Fulfilling Life

I should have shared this yesterday  for Rosh Hashanah,  the new year, 5783.

"Rosh Hashanah" means "head of the year" in Hebrew, and the two-day holiday is considered a time to reflect and repent in anticipation of the coming year.It is also referred to as the "day of judgment." The holiday calls people to consider how they might have failed or fallen short in the past year -- and how to improve and grow in the coming year.

I  promised to share  three new promises of God each  post  for  us to  copy, memorize and  learn to apply   in our prayers during  difficult times.

John 16:33 I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

Psalm 32:8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;   I will counsel you with my eye upon you.

Psalm 37:23-24 The steps of a man are established by the Lord,  when he delights in his way;24 though he fall, he shall not be cast headlong, for the Lord upholds his hand.

  God bless   us!!
