Sunday Stealing - Identity by Bev
Welcome to Sunday Stealing.
1. if someone wanted to really understand you,
what would they read, watch, and listen to?
They would be a fellow follower of Christ,
and also be a conservative.
2. have you ever found a writer who thinks
just like you? if so, who? My favorite Christian
author is Derek Prince… we believe much the
same way. I also, love Liz Curtiss Higgs. We
enjoy the same humor!
3. do you care about your ethnicity? If you
refer to my countries of origin, then yes.
I have been blessed to live in Germany, and
travel around Ireland and Scotland, my most
prominent genealogical points of origin, and I
enjoy meeting the people, seeing how the
people live, and learn the history of their
lives. I enjoy genealogy to that extent!
4. what musical artists have you most felt
connected to over your lifetime?I took piano
from age 6 to 22 and love the classical
composers, especially Frank Liszt and Chopin.
Culturally, growing up in the 50’s and 60’s I
loved all the musical eras. I was weaned on
r&r, came of age with the British Invasion,
and loved the excitement of the newer
sounds of the 70’s as a young adult. I loved
Iron Butterfly and Crosby, Stills, Nash, and
Young. It really is hard to pick one I moved
along with each new weekly top 40 and
always found music to admire,
5. are you an artist? As an elementary school
teacher I drew quite a bit on the board each day
and my skills improved quite a bit. After
retirement, I took up oil painting and now some
water colors. At this stage of life I am keeping
a nature journal which I really enjoy!
6. dog person or cat person? Had cats during
my life, but would love a dog. But hubs doesn’t
care for animals.
7. inside or outdoors? At this stage I prefer
indoors, but enjoy looking out or being on the
porch.. I still love the beach, but enjoy it mostly
from the balcony.
8. five most influential books over your lifetime
Bible, Secrets of the Secret Place, by Bob
Sorge, Time Travel books by Lynn Kurland, Anne
of Green Gables,
Love books set in Scotland, Ireland, England during
the 1700, 1800, early 1900.
9. would you rather be in Middle Earth, Narnia,
Hogwarts, or somewhere else? I really enjoyed
the Lord of the Rings films, but I think I’d rather
be in Narnia.
10. list the top five things you spend the most time
doing, in order. I enjoy movies on tv, I enjoy listening
to music, I enjoy journalling in my common place
journal, .I enjoy drawing and adding pages to my
nature journal, and last but not least I love it when
we get to FaceTime with my granddaughters once
a week.
11. have you ever felt like you had a “mind-meld”
with someone?
Perhaps long ago in my youthful life, but not
lately!
12. could you live as a hermit? Yes.
13. do you feel like your outside appearance is
a fair representation of the “real you”? Even
at age 73 I would say yes. I hope my outward
look shows a fun spirited, loving countenance
that shows that I am approachable and enjoy
company. But if no one come about I am
perfectly satisfied, as well. I am comfortable
in my own presence!
14. three songs that you connect with right
now. How We Need the River, Most any Christmas
Carol, You are my Hiding Place by Selah.
15. pick one of your favorite quotes.
7 Deep calls to deep
in the roar of your waterfalls;
all your waves and breakers
have swept over me.
8 By day the Lord directs his love,
at night his song is with me—
a prayer to the God of my life.
