It's March!
Hosted by Annie!!
Welcome to Tuesday 4 begun by Toni Taddeo. It's March and it might be nice to talk a bit about it.
The year is going by quickly....
1. March comes in like a lamb and goes out like a lion. How has it made its debut in your area?
It came in to Virginia I'd say about half of one and the other.. But I would hope it would go out gloriously with pure spring weather full of sunshine and bird song!
2. Is St Patrick's Day something you observe? Since I went to Ireland 9 years ago I purchased a few items that I like to bring out and enjoy, so I'd say I do..but usually just for the day.. no longer.. spring is just too important an event, though it hasn't arrived yet.. I'm feeling it in my spirit!
3. Do you observe Easter? Absolutely! I observe the Christian Easter.. even though we did the easter basket for Amanda, but we attend church for several events over Holy Week. We find the attention to our Lord"s death and Resurrection is extremely important!
4. What will those holidays see you doing this year?We will go to a Palm Sunday event to begin our week long Holy Week events. The use of song and scripture, plus some enactments... really make us think and consider what price Christ paid for our sins, and our Good Friday event brings us to our knees in contrition as we release our sinful ways to the cross in repentance. I really think christians need to have special times to repent for our sins, they are so invasive in our lives.. they can become habits that make us think it is just the way we are.. But in this world the enemy is thinking and using ways to make us feel that way! Repentance should be a daily time we spend in special prayer before our Lord.. Resurrection Day is so glorious and beautiful.. a true time for rejoicing for He is risen, indeed!! I wish I had my mom's fortitude to have a delicious easter meal ready at home.. but I try to prepare items on Saturday to have on Sunday that bring back the wonderful memories of home cooking from our past!
