"Contemplation"
The action of looking thoughtfully at something for a long time: BUT
In times like these when all we see is strife, suffering, pain, fearful circumstances, violence, dread, what if scenarios, and the downward spiral of our society we choose to dig into our safe place if we do have time.. for me I can waste time playing mind dumbing word games or watching Youtube videos on home decor and thrifting..You see, I am just as guilty as the next person because I don't want to think about what might happen. But we are bombarded with what- if scenarios, climate changes, power grids, food shortages, financial ruin, all looming on the not too distant future.. No wonder faithless youth turn to drugs and meds and suddenly their lives are swept away in the melee of death and destruction by an evil it seems no one wants to deter. What exactly is this evil that is running rampant in our world, even our communities. It is actually not a person, a leader, a despot, even, If not, then what on earth is it.. something that stalks the earth seeking to rob, steal ,and destroy... and he has been unleashed to wreak his havoc on the earth. He doesn't care who or what gets caught up in his destruction ...he is actually called the destroyer! Note I will not even capitalize his pronoun or name for he is beneath all living creatures. It is satan and his minions are madly undoing society and causing destruction wherever he can because he knows his time on earth is short. Very short.!! his influence on earth has affected people in high places, all around the world.. and it appears that only those of us with eyes to see really understand his tactic. That would mainly be born again Christians, whose eyes of their understanding have been opened. The purpose of my Blog Change is that Christians everywhere really need to apply the great commission to their lives. I am just as guilty of being too timid to talk about faith with my neighbor, but the time is short... times are too evil . ... the church has got to rise up. As long as the church is luke warm and not involved in winning souls we continue to have this evil around us that we deserve.. Contemplate in your own heart as I do mind, how much emphasis do I really place on the Lord of the Scriptures, Do I read my BIble everyday and apply its truth to my life. Do I truly love others or just a few special friends who are easy to love. Have I sacrificed any time for a stranger to take a meal or work a food line, or stand by a stranger and speak lovingly to them. Perhaps about future things.. life's concerns. Have you prayed with a stranger? If you can't remember the last time you did any of these things perhaps you need to warm up your faith. I need to ,, and I am changing my blog to remind me and us of how we can do these things! God bless us one and all!
