My Surprise

Last week I wrote of a wonderful surprise that was coming my way! It arrived today, parcel post! I left several hints last week about what it might be.
Actually, this lovely surprise and package originated from here!

Wow, 3 degrees west of the Greenwich, England. That just tickles my awesome bone!

And one very special little guy,

This handsome North Country Cheviot,

Rosebud!

The locale, Brora, Scotland...the wonderful friend who sent the package, dear Stacey of A Lamb in the Field ,who had this amazing giveaway last month and by God's grace I won!

Today a beautiful carton stamped Royal Mail arrived. I was too eager to even get a photo of that! First of all, there was a beautiful Scottish tea towel of the finest linen depicting the various kinds of Scottish heather!

Then there was my very own Peat Reek, a set of incense that reeks of peat, I suppose when burned. I will really experience the true essence of a Scottish croft.
Photobucket
Then I have several items to share!

Here you see a darling journal by a famous Scottish artist entitled Baaaaad Girls with the most precious sheep on the cover. There is a package of I am sure delicious Orkney Fudge! Yum! There is a packet of Highland Bluebell seeds, and a coaster depicting a famous quote by Poet Laureat, Robert Burns. But that is not all!!!
Then we have the following!
Photobucket
Precious figures of a gorgeous Westie and a handsome black Scottie and an adorable teddy holding the beautiful Scottish flag. A handcrafted bookmark depicting my favorite critter, a cute little lambie! And the flash is interfering but it is a cross stitch kit of a heraldic thistle, Scotland's national flower!
But that is not all!!!!!!
Drum roll!
My very own.....

Rosebud! What an amazing collection of treasures from my very favorite dream spot of the whole world.... Scotland!

Thanks so much, Stacey,
I am so excited I can hardly type! I love it all! I am even excited about reading the newspaper that was stuffed into the box for packing! I ironed it out this afternoon! I am hopelessly enamored, or couldn't you tell!

HEE~HEE Not A Trip, Either

Although I dearly hope and pray that someday a trip will materialize, for this locale is my absolute dream trip of my life. But you have to know that I am a great planner. I am actually making a scrapbook of all the places I hope to see when I do make this trip. And my very dear friends, S-----, who just happens to live there, is making my dreaming more and more reality through her wonderful friendship and generosity, NO, she isnt bankrolling the trip! But just imagine my thrill and excitement to go to the mailbox today and pull out something with this postmark!Photobucket
Amazing! And then when I opened it, it was so precious! I recalled how she had blogged last fall about going afield in the environs around her coastal, highland village, and seeing the massive stags, and hearing their rutting and calling in the hills. I would have been mesmerized! So to commemorate that memory she made me the most darling journal in which to do my planning and dreaming!

See the handsome crossstitch stag on the cover!
But that's not all! She also recently toured some of the homeland herself and while touring picked up this wonderful memento for me!

I cannot wait to enjoy this Music video of Urquhart Castle, Loch Ness, Invernesshire, and Culloden! Why, this is the very next best thing to being there!
(If you only really knew how special this is to me!!)
But....remember, I said, this is only a foretaste to the coming surprise!!
I will wait a little longer to relate everything about that!
But,
Stacey, Thank you so much for this most thoughtful gift! It means so much to me! The journal is so precious because it was made by your sweet hands in

I also love the blue which reminds of of the beautiful saltire!

Conjecture!

My dear friend, Marian, from the Netherlands, has surmised I might be going to be a granny! Look out Jan, no, I hope not, since Amanda and Joshua are homeless at this time living out of their suitcases in a hotel striving to find a home in New England!~ I can at least hope to be memaw to a puppy someday relatively soon, ~ But... No~ that's not my surprise, but to me , this is wonderful, and my heart is full to running over with excitement!

In fact, I actually received a taste of what is to come today in the mail! Well, not exactly not a taste, but a glimmering morsel, a sensory delight you might say! So herein lies a hale and hearty thank you publicly for this foretaste to dear S! And this is not Santa, but her generosity is abounding! Not from the North Pole, but probably from the farthest north spot I know:

Not the home of Rudolph, but the wonders of these!

A place I am dying to visit!

Here is a hint!

I have a wonderful surprise to share one of these days! Something marvelous is coming my way! I have known about it for about a week and am chomping at the bit to share about it, but feel the time isnt quite right yet! But soon....hopefully! So until then just a wee hint!
