One of my favorite things is genealogy and as I was perusing Ancestry.com I found that my earliest known 12th great grand father was born in 1485 in Chigwell, Essex, Great Britain... That got me thinking of Elizabethan architecture and one of my favorite styles, Jacobean, prints.. So I created a new table arrangement celebrating my love of all thing British, as well, as my 12th great Grandpa Thomas Cocke!

My cute Dominecker fowl being the oldest chicken to migrate here during the colonial period feels right at home on this table!!

The placemats are a bright and bold Jacobean print that suits the
Elizabethan cottage of the Churchill China.
Since it is late summer and I am thinking farm life the sunflowers really punch up the design both on the hutch and the table.

This setting really puts me in a hostess mood... perhaps a lovely roasted fowl supper with best friends is warranted for this table design
Happy late summer from our house to yours!
I am also sharing on Grace at Home.
