You might ask me.. Why do you keep sharing about a slow life.. I see these slow living videos demonstrating living purposefully. And I see that even when they are approaching their chores in this way, there is a feeling of satisfaction and even joy in the process. Instead of marching through your day checking off the things to be done like a Mad Hatter, I just believe they can be accomplished thoughtfully and with joy in the heart.
I will say here that my life as a wife, mother, teacher, and social chairman of large churches was generally that of a rat race, so I know the health issues and general stress that it puts on you. I wish I had the guidance toward a slow life, I think it might have helped me in those trying years!
I like this young lady's feelings about living slow. True, she happens to live in paradise and has much to enjoy about her environment. But we as Christians have so much to enjoy: the peace of God, the beautiful of the scriptures, the glory of the creation around us.. So take most of the words she shares and imagine it in your life as a child of God and see that the quiet time of thought and peace can be a healing salve to your quiet routine you might develop in your morning.. I, also, liked it when she said .. to get in touch with your rhythm, or another slow living video mentions to create a rhythm of the home where you are raising your children.. It is your life to decide how to live it .. in a rat race or intentionally.....creating a place of calm and peace!
Again, I will caution, slow living is becoming a trend. and some of them are a step or two too far,, ..into the zen life style or just places I would never want to take my readers. I started following some slow living videos a year ago and those early ones are the ones that captured my ear. I loved to listen to them because they were so calming and joyful, and I learned the technique of approaching my daily tasks in a more godly manner.. That I was doing it from a Proverbs 31 ( Ministries) mindset instead of just having to rush to get a daily list done! Proverbs 31:10-31 scripture . But even, then I sometimes had to transfer my belief system into how I would apply godly worship and prayer into the open space of time I might gain; where they may be be adding something that was not for me., ie. transcendental meditation. Being aware of how very differently people replace worldly things into the place of God, the Father. Sometimes it is a subtle thing. So it is important to always be vigilant and keep Jesus and our holy Father in first place during meditations, praise and worship!
I found this lovely post on how to live a Biblical Intentional Life to share with you !
I hope you might find some helpful suggestions there to find the rhythm of your life and home!

I promised to offer three promises from God's Word each post- add these to your list to keep, memorize, and pray back to Him in times of trouble..
John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
Psalm 32:8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.
Psalm 37:23 The LORD makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him; 24 though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the LORD upholds him with his hand.
Peace be with you!
