Tuesday 4 Hosted by Annie!
The Thanksgiving Feast
This coming Thursday is Thanksgiving Day and the day after is my birthday! Hoorah for me. My daughter’s is the 22nd..Tuesday this year.
Let's talk about the Thanksgiving Feast.
1. Do you celebrate with family, friends or by yourself? This year we have been invited by our associate Pastor and his lovely wife, Giovanna. We are very excited to get to celebrate with this wonderful family!Giovanna and I have become great friends. She is a beautiful woman from Peru and she very much bringing her children up in their traditions and in the admonition of the Lord. I always look forward to time spent with her and the family. Our first Bible class we took on Wednesday nights was taught by her husband Frank. We, also, look forward to getting to know him better, as well!
2. Do you watch the Thanksgiving Day parade from Macy's in New York City? The appearance of Santa at the end signals the start of the Christmas season. What does the day hold for you? I may watch some of the parade. We have to leave home at 12:30 to make our lunch date. I am taking a Mac and cheese casserole as there are 3 teenagers in this family! In regards to Christmas, I have done most of my decorating. I have two small trees up and I probably will not put up another one!
3. What foods are the hit of Thanksgiving Day for you?
I am a traditionalist. I love roast turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, the whole nine yards!
4. We say grace before and after meals. Is grace a part of your Thanksgiving meal? Absolutely, showing our gratitude to God is the whole point, right?
Whatever your Thanksgiving traditions, I pray that the day is meaningful and filled with love for you whether with family, friends or alone. May God shine his blessing love down on you and yours and make us all truly thankful this year
