Wednesday-Sharing the Overflow with Others

I am enjoying my Irish scone I baked  last evening.  Very easy  ,   but my scones  took longer to bake..  It was  more like 25 minutes!  But  very good!!!

Let us be inspired to   give of our selves and of  the gifts  the Lord has  given us!
We are not all  able to take a serene walk from our home  to  find the glory of God, but  the music of Tim Janis can transport us  to a beautiful surrounds  with his wonderful  music  and nature.

I love this song proclaiming the love of Jesus!
Jesus, Only Jesus

When we consider who our Savior is,   how He loved us and continues to every moment,  we must be moved  to  at least live for Him..  that means we love   ourselves,  our families,  our neighbors,  our coworkers,  and others whom we meet everyday along the way. It, also, means we must open ourselves up to be willing to  shine His light into the world around us.  He placed us  here at this particular time,  even in the middle of  the pandemic,  the middle of  a  crushing new world order,   exploding all about us,  and our assignment is still the same,  yet, the  objective seems even more important as so many are fleeing away  from organized church.
DisclaimerAgain...
Sometimes I will share  some great videos  on slow living,  which  demonstrate the importance of  living intentionally,  but the only problem is  when it comes to the  spiritual side of many of the videos  they substitute  using  their   gained time  with meditation practices,  or   just reading a book instead of reading the Book. I pray when I share a slow living video with you in your mind you will substitute the holy choices  for  where to spend your   godly  reading and  prayer time!  Now   one blogger is precious, Jen,  who  left her  LA  life  as a high fashion model  when she became a Christian.  She and her husband live in a very  modest house on a mountain top.  They have  really embraced  the simple life  and I find her  vlogs very  calming!

We need to  be giving our    quiet hours over to  godly pursuits, not only to grow us in spiritual knowledge, but again  considering how to  give to others especially in ways to demonstrate  the love to God to them.  As I write this I  am thinking alright,  where do I begin; I have neighbors right here beside us  who I  believe need  at least more of God. We are not very friendly, even though we have had  the older couple  of our age over a couple of times. Because I want too serve God in this way,   but  am  at a loss for what to do... I  am going to spend time this week praying for them and for God to give me an opening.  I am willing to share with you  what  happens because I do believe when we ask God for His  help in these efforts He is faithful to  comply and things will happen!  I challenge you, as well, to pray for the opportunity to show love to some one you do not know  this week.  Even if it is a smile and a cheery greeting. If it is something you wouldn't have done before  that is  a beginning! Yesterday I saw  a woman who used to  be a server at our favorite  restaurant that closed. She is now  working at another restaurant.  Now this woman is older than us   and always seemed to be tired and a bit frustrated heretofore; she is the only provider  for herself. But she looked great. I  greeted her and  she came over to our table because she recognized us. I told her it was so wonderful to see her again  and told her  she was  looking  amazing. She replied that   she was really happy working there, I  believe that  just  that  very simple dialog with her    helped to put that smile on her face.. The fact of recognition and  a friendly discourse  can mean so much to others!

Sometime this week you would truly benefit from this teaching by John Maxwell on Intentional Living.  Such a wonderful truth about God’s love for us and how we should live!  24 min.

                                Powerful words of faith!!!
