I just discovered TBB and the linkups created by this engaging team of bloggers look quite fun and inspiring. So I will begin with TBB Asks
1. Kisses or Hugs,,, I would say I'm a hugger... I reserve my kisses for family only..mostly from and for Hubs and the grands mainly! But a good bear hug does me well... and I truly believe hugs are healthful... except during flu season! Yikes!
2. Candy or Flowers.... definitely flowers,, and not necessarily roses.. roses are nice for Valentine's Day
because they are in season you might say, but I love field flowers, and summer bouquets for Just Because days!!!
3. Baking or Cooking...that is a hard one...unfortunately I only cook or bake when I am truly inspired these days... but once the bug bites I jump in with relish both to bake and cook! I suppose baking is a slim forerunner because due to the British Baking Competition I have actually purchased various new baking pans! Mary Berry's Madeira cake is next on my list!
4. Do I remember my first kiss?
Yes, I do... I was 16 and it was my first real boy friend, Barry. Awkward kiss, but memorable, for sure! We were sitting on our den sofa. He must have been moved as well, because he brought me a white kitten!
5. Favorite color of roses.... Hubs usually gets me red which are gorgeous and I love them, but sometimes he will get something a bit different.... pink or yellow.. surprises are nice!!
6. Conversation hearts or not! We loved them when I taught 3rd grade but they've lost their allure for me now!
7. Do you leave love notes? I have been known to, but, actually, I now think Id love to leave more. Hubs has left me love notes and they a re so sweet and endearing!
8. Do you decorate for Valentine's Day? I try not to miss any special day to decorate!
9. Red or Pink? Since red means true love, then of course, RED!
10. Milk, White, or dark Chocolate? UMMM.... dark chocolate, for sure.. plus, it is better for you!
11. Do you believe in love at first sight? I do believe in infatuation at first sight, where a couple meet and they click, and a romance can spring forth with very little provocation. But True Love not necessarily, because it takes time to know and be fully known. And loving relationships happen over time!
12. Do you give humorous or serious cards? I've been known to give both... I prefer to get serious cards, but sometimes a funny card just fits the situation so perfectly.. Sometimes when I do choose a funny card I follow it up with a serious one!!!
13.Favorite chick flick or romantic movie??? Gosh, I am such a huge romantic this is very hard for me...the one that came up first was The Quiet Man.

You may have guessed by now I'm not into illicit, gratuitous intimacy on screen,, just lovely romantic stories, well written and acted!!!
14. Stay in or go out? I love to go out, but we have learned to go out on a different evening because menus on Valentine's Day are limited, and a couple of years ago we called in our reservations more than a week in advance and when we got there about 10 minutes early, they told us they just gave our reservation to someone else.. We would be welcome to dine in the bar... Needless to say, we will not go back there again!
