Anticipation

Alright, I realize that  it isnt  Christmas yet...  my goodness, it isnt even Thanksgiving....  but I love   the yuletide season so much  I  am  thinking Christmas  all the same....   and am so joyful this season  having  my surgery  behind me and  feeling better everyday...  that I am  very expectant.... and am  just thinking homey thoughts of baking and decorating and planning... so  I am  dedicating  this new  themed blog  destination   as my  go to place to  anticipate....     I am fairly exploding with  excitement...

Breakfast for Two

Peace and tranquility permeated our morning as we enjoyed our breakfast on the porch!
Photobucket PhotobucketThe early morning music of birds cheered us and their acrobatic antics tickled our eyes. Photobucket With everything we need to accomplish today to make the Fourth of July a glorious memory for family and friends, our morning repast on the porch really helped to set the mood and feed our soul, as well as our tummies! Happy Fourth!

I pray that everyone has a fun and safe holiday, today. Our dd and sil have invited both families up to their home to celebrate as they will probably be living out of state this time next year. In fact, they plan to start packing this weekend for their big move as they prepare to leave college life behind. Joshua loves to grill so he is preparing pork and chicken shish-ka-bobs.
Photobucket I'm fixing cole slaw, and bringing the bread, Joshua's mom will bring a delectable platter of sliced assorted fruits very artfully arranged, and my mom will be bringing her delicious macoroni salad. I'm not sure what else Amanda will fix, but I believe it will include this!
