God Focused Life or Daily Life Choices that Lead Heavenward- The Plan

God Focused Life or Daily Life Choices that Lead Heavenward

Each day of the week there will be a new topic, as seen below,  for consideration. I pray that these will affect a corresponding  response  from  each of us.
Each day of the week I will offer suggestions  for what I mean  here..   It isn't exactly adding anything to your day,  but it can be...  but that is by  taking away the mindless waste of time energy you are  extracting.  IF your day is full of chores,  find ways to enjoy  doing them.  Perhaps a bit of re-organization on your part is warranted.

The Plan

Monday-  Living a Slow, Purposefully Meaningful Life
  • Be Present
  • Make the day count for something
  • Slow living; Taking time to explore what makes you happy
  • Taking time to focus on it and make the most of your day
  • example:  Bake a loaf of bread or  a nice dessert for your family

Tuesday-Finding the Joy for a Fulfilling life
Romans 15:13 - Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.
Your heartfelt joy might be in  being with the grandchildren..  call them on the phone or read a story on FaceTime to them..   Be creative . Call up an old friend and meet for coffee and a scone at a coffee shop. .   Last week at Hobby Lobby I almost bought a rather simple embroidery kit. I wish I had. I think busy hands with a  finished product is a beautiful thing. … mindlessly watching tv  leaves you with nothing to show for it! But is that all that joy entails. Joy isn’t all about how we feel as we shall soon see!Check  in to Tuesday to find true joy!

Wednesday-Sharing the Overflow with Others
(This may just be the day you plan)
Galatians 5:13  For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love.
Today I am making a lovely dinner for my friend who is just out of hospital. I planned it  on Wednesday, shopped on Thursday, and am cooking today'  I will get joy from serving it to her!! Next week, I might make a list of three folks I need to correspond with.  Then write   my cards on the weekend and send.

Thursday-Prayerfully Praising God to Fill your Soul
Psalm 106:1
Praise the Lord! Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever! This one is so easy
get your favorite praise music together : create a playlist on YouTube, or  create a praise station on Pandora ,or just tune in to Christian radio.  all while you  do your chores.  sing and praise to the heavens.

Weekend-Faith in Action
Fullfilling your Wednesday Commitment
But someone will say, ‘You have faith and I have works.’ Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.” James 2:1

Sunday - Filling your Cup
Do not start the week running on empty!
Romans 12:1-2: “I urge you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God which is your spiritual service of worship
Our church today was so meaningful and full of  scripture that touched my heart.  I am going to create scriptures cards  and make a file box to keep them in
My notebook journal today was full of  ideas,,  Make  your life count.   Have something at the end of the day to show for  how God is working in your life.   Live purposefully and meaningfully!!!
The more you fill up, the more you will have to share!!!
