November is such a glorious month, I think! I mean, for one thing it is gorgeous... even when the leaves litter the ground, the rubies and gold are a luxurious treasure!
November is a time of planning the beauty of late autumn decor for your home..
and let us not forget the planning that goes into our amazing Thanksgiving meal.
Well , that last one is hosting a crowd... but what if your's is a more modest dinner..
There are bound to be leftovers.. so,
my point is why not plan for a couple of extra guests. .. but to be intentional about whom you might invite. I know I have a couple of neighbors who are not churched and probably since they live rather modestly already, probably aren't expecting a grand dinner on Thanksgiving. Or, I know I have a couple of unsaved family members , even though they live out of town, I think they would really consider the opportunity to relive the good ole days when we all got together at grandma's for Thanksgiving. Or, what a loving thing to do to intentionally consider your church body.. I bet there is someone, perhaps an elderly man or woman who has no one to remember them over the holiday... the list could go on and on, but Thanksgiving is such a wonderful time.. to share the beauty, the good food, the love of Christ. and get a blessing ,as well. Sharing your home and meal for that one day is real Faith in Action..
PS.. So I have a sweet friend who lives with her brother and she has had a pretty rough last few months, physically.. I am inviting them to share our thanksgiving meal and time together. I know she is saved, but not absolutely sure about the brother.. but I don't wish to judge here, I just know the loving thing to do for them this year is to add a couple of places at our table!!
