Aha, More Treats from Edinburgh and Stirling.. Ah, Stirling ! MY favorite of All!
Our first Edinburgh photo was taken as we awaited the Hop ON Hop Off Bus!!
My primary interest in Edinburgh was the old section... So our first stop was on Canongate the lower section of the Royal Mile.
I was off to find the Bake House Close.. and a family shot at one of the filming shots from the Outlander series.
This very ancient looking architecture was perfect for the Print Shop where Claire found Jamie following Culloden!
Soon it was time to find lunch. We knew we wanted the Larder of Edinburgh, but for me, and my walking stick it was a Royal climb!
It was off of
High Street another section of the Royal Mile!
ON the last day in Dunkeld We girls minus Leila who went to see golf with the men, took in Stirling Castle!
I was thrilled and a bit anxious. I was somewhat tired but so wanting to see it that I laid that aside and determined to do what it took to see it all!
Stirling is more central in Scotland and considered the lowlands it was a gorgeous day and the ride was exceptional!
soon the caste was in view and it was amazing!
It took a while of walking across large cobble stones to gt inside the first quiet zone. and out of the outer Bailey which was crawling with visitors!. AS I sat there I realized I had to woman up and tackle that large staircase before me if I was going to enjoy my visit!
Thankfully there were not a lot of folks around so I took my time and soon I was standing at the top! Amanda took this photo when I came down later in the day. She wanted me to remember how I tackled my dragon!
but look what I would have missed!
the gorgeous inner chambers of the queen and king!
the Upper Gardens!>>

Then down within the castle walls were the lower gardens. absolutely gorgeous!
as we left, Robert the Bruce heralded us with his sword!
Can you Handle more Treats!
There are photos from St. Andrews and Glamis Castle !
Most of the wonders of the highlands were enjoyed from our home base at Duncraig Castle! It was so hard to leave this gorgeous lodging and private home of our gracious hosts
While the men enjoyed St. Andrews and the British Open
Rory!
The guys had great seats. On the ground. We girls ventured to tea at glass.. Amanda and the girls roamed the gardens while I took bit of siesta and met a lovely friend from Yorkshire who was also taking her rest.. at the castle!
Earlier we had passed the cup and had a lovely teatime!
