  ♥♥ Right now I am ♥
As I work on the blog I have been watching Fox News and nothing is good.  Lord, please intervene in so many issues affecting our nation!

♥♥ Thinking and pondering ♥
So let’s change the topic!   Yesterday was the best Palm Sunday! I really love our church…the pastor seems to get better every day! I mean he has always been great, and it ‘s not that he gets a bit political, he preaches through the Bible, and yesterday we studied Luke chapter 8, regarding Jesus stilling the storm, and healing the demoniac. Knowing Jesus through His miracles and how His powerful work is still functioning today is something I have always understood, but after yesterday’s sermon, it cemented in my heart. I was so moved even unto repentance and the desire to live more for Christ!
Then last night we had a a song and prayer event. So moving.
 Praise God!

♥♥How am I feeling ♥♥
So as I stated before, during my lithotripsy,
I had a bit of afib.. so last week I was started on a heart monitor for 30 days, well one week down.. It has gotten easier…
I barely notice It is taped to my chest anymore. That is one reason why I forget to carry the monitor from room to room. The monitor is a smallish cell phone that transmits my heart activity to the company that collects the information to then send to my doctor. It works best when it is less than 5 feet from me.  You wouldn’t believe how hard it is to do that!  Oh, my !

   ♥♥ What am I Wearing♥♥

I am still in my sleep dress which I could  almost wear anywhere. I am delighted to be in a size that I can  wear dresses in the ladies section at Walmart. I love their cute tee shirt dresses. I can sleep in them and sit out on the porch. Too chilly, though, today!  .

♥♥ On the breakfast plate ♥♥
Today is our 52nd anniversary
And dear Lynn has made me a special breakfast.  English muffins, bacon, and hard boiled eggs with my French press coffee.  I am blessed!

♥♥ On the dinner plate ♥♥

Tonight we will celebrate going to our favorite restaurant for seafood! Yum!

♥♥ On my reading pile ♥♥

Luke

Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice

♥♥On my TV this week ♥♥
As always, I love cooking shows, right now I am watching Girl Meets Farm.  I love this show She looks so very much like our daughter, whom I miss so much! The Kitchen, and home shows , like Hometown. I look forward to seeing When Calls the  Heart.

♥♥ From the camera ♥♥
I love anniversaries!

Stay on top of the housework
Do my Bible reading
Work on my journal
Correspondence  I try to write 2 handwritten letters a week. To tell the truth I have gotten behind on this list, but  I am determined to get back on track!

  ♥♥ Favorite Vlog ♥

Pretty in the Pines is a very entertaining vlog about a young family moving into the most gorgeous home and how they are decorating it in a French style, but with thrifted and Facebook marketplace items,  but also gorgeous antique fixtures from very nice antique shops! I think watching the family redo their new home is very enjoyable!

Friday Fave Five

Hosted by Suzanne

I have to say that this meme is really important for us to take time to look back at our week and think about the blessings we have enjoyed!I say this because some weeks are can become a bit overwhelmed with the situations of each day, so it is good to take time and really see where the Lord has been prominent in each day, and He has.

Sunday- was a great day, it was beautiful and Lynn and I enjoyed church so much. I was extremely blessed by the music…the songs were some of my favorite! Following church , our best friends invited us to lunch and we tried out a new place about 10 miles from here at the tip top of a mountain.  The ride up was so beautiful. I really felt blessed to get out and see a bit of nature!  Our time together was and is a blessing to us.

Monday- I had an appointment to see a nurse practitioner as a follow up  with the cardiac blip I had following my lythotripsy.  I came out if it with afib which was corrected once I went on a blood thinner.  Thankfully, it has remained corrected in this following month and I am grateful and pray that it continues in my life.  I suppose at my age,  we can expect all kinds of blips in our lives and we must learn to accept changes and do the best we can to correct them through diet,  medication, physical remediation. But, we, also, have the faithfulness of the Lord to join with us through our struggles of life, Amen

So on Monday, the nurse put me on a heart monitor…..just a smallish medallion adhered to my upper torso.. that I must wear  for 30 days.  I can be  thankful that now the doctors will see and know what my heart is up to, and I should not complain,, but…..!

Tuesday- I will try not to complain, but this item was adhered to my chest and I was pretty much sent home with very little info about what to do. I was given a monitor ( like a cell phone) to have on my body at all times. I cannot tell you how many times I find myself in the kitchen without it. Questions about things were mounting  so I had to call the number given with a long list of them. Praise God the assistance operator’s response is like talking  to your mother. She is the sweetest woman who listens contentedly and answers every question with grace and makes you feel like you should never be afraid to call whenever a question arises.  Thank you mommy, I mean dear sweet assistance operator.  All discomfiture regarding wearing a heart sensor was released from my mind and spirit, and I hardly even realize I am wearing it. I just make sure to wear clothing with a deep pocket!

Wednesday-on Wednesday, I got really caught up in the affairs of the world,  the eclipse, it’s meaning and ramifications, our government, and the deception all around us, the wars and rumors of wars.   It was as if all of these things were connected and I was  seeking how could

I find help in these areas of deep concern.  I started seeking information regarding God’s plans in these areas which led me to several videos about the Jewish feasts and prophetic words which did not help my thinking, but confused me more. My mind was reeling. But then I found this video.  Highly recommended!

Thursday-this battery on the sensor on my chest has a 4-5 day battery. I was hoping it was a 4 day battery so I could remove it to recharge and take a great shower including washing my hair. But the battery isn’t low enough to look like it will used up today, so I need to figure out washing my hair keeping this doohickey dry. Just another step along my path of learning.  I am so sure that God is allowing me to grow in strength through trouble, through physical situations, through decision making, so that as times change in our future I am able to make careful decisions and live life with Him guiding and caring for me!For it was God who has walked  with me through the difficult seasons of life I have had in the last few years. One thing I did learn watching those videos yesterday is this. Everyone alive today was created to live at this time in history. We are a special breed to be able to face the challenges that these end times will involve. I am so blessed to know that God is always with me , growing, me in faith and reliance on Him! Praise God!

I am actually finishing this on Thursday..I have been pretty personal in this post because it is my great desire that anything I have learned is a help to you, dear reader. But more than ever, I hope you know that for God to be the guide in your life one must first of all know Him as  your Lord and Savior. Believe me, As a prayer warrior for the last 20 years, I know how evil these days are becoming, and how I could not have survived mentally if my spiritual life was not attuned to God. I hold each woman who reads my posts dear to my heart, and I pray now for each one of you if you do know  God is your Heavenly Father through accepting His Son,Jesus Christ, as your savior and Lord, I  going to pray for you everyday to make that decision.  Otherwise, I really do not know how one can endure the coming calamity that is bound to come all over the world.  And please know this. Time is short because before things get terribly bad, Jesus is going to call His people  home and suddenly we will be gone to live safely with Him in heaven forever more. Those left behind have a very grim future without hope. That is as plainly as I can share what we face in these times. Yesterday I heard that hundreds of demons had been let loose on earth to begin the havoc that is coming. I believe it because of  terrible confusion in  my mind which was in turmoil yesterday. Praise God, He allowed me to experience a touch of that deception  then lifted me right out of it to show me to stay close to Him and not allow myself to think too much on the things of the world. If anyone wants to ask me a question about these things, I will  answer with love and compassion. God bless your week!

Name that Show!

Hosted by Annie

Welcome to Toni Taddeo's Tuesday 4.

Here is a repeat of one Toni used in January of 2019....

Name 1 Or More

1.   Name a TV series show or shows in which you have seen every episode at least twice: There are so many… all the way back to I love Lucy, Leave it to Beaver, to Andy Griffith, to Brady Bunch, to Frazier.. gee, I’m getting a headache now!

2.   Name a show or shows you can't or would not miss: of course it would be Downton Abbey,  All Creatures Great and Small,

3.   Name an actor or actors that would make you more inclined to watch a show:  Back in the day, it would be the wonderful actors, Gary Cooper, Gregory Peck,   Cary Grant, and all of their ilk. More lately, I usually enjoy Tom Hanks,  Benedict Cumberbatch, Hugh Jackson, to name a few.

4.   Name an actor or actors who would make you less likely  to watch a show:crazy raunchy  comedians.  Too many to list,  And I do not like many R rated films.

Friday Favorite Five

Hosted by Suzanne.

Goodness me, this week has flown by!!! But it has been a  somewhat busy week,  and it has all been very wonderful!

Actually, though I must confess that  I had dreaded Monday for  several days,  as  it was the day I returned to the  Urologist to remove the stents that were applied  during my lithotripsy  3 weeks ago.  I must say I was  definitely ready  to have them gone,  but to  have them  removed in the doctor's exam room  was daunting to me.  Well, praise the Lord , it was not as bad as I had  imagined and  I must say  'Hallelujah,"  that ordeal is now behind me. The doctor told  me not to drink  iced tea but  homemade lemonade, instead. That would keep one from  getting  pesky stones again;  so I  promptly purchased the largest  bottle of  lemon  drink  and  have  used  some every day  but one this week.    Just add to taste to your water and I  add some stevia to it and it is a refreshing drink!  So  I'll do anything for my health!

On Tuesday, I was so delighted to catch up with my  Six Sisters from our church.  This is a group  started to bring women together   for fellowship and   friendship.. It was particularly wonderful for me  as a new member   of the church 2 1/2 years ago.  MY first group of SS  met for a year together  then we  changed  to a new group. Unfortunately the  function  has  gone  kaput  and Ive been with this group  now for a year and a half,  but we  do  enjoy each others' company so well,    we  decided to just keep it going. Sometimes we invite  the others in for a luncheon, or  I  did a valentine tea last year.

Or  we  plan a lunch out  in a different restaurant!
This time we ate lunch at one of our favorite places,  but hadn't been back since covid, so it was lovely to  go back and see the same  regular staff!

Wednesday  was  a quiet day for me.  nothing on the calendar, so I  took  the day off you might say.  I did  straighten up the den and  went through  much mailings that needed  to be thrown out.  And I  read several chapters in Pride and Prejudice.  A lovely day to be sure!

Thursday,  was our  second Thursday prayer day.  This week we,   4 of the 6 of us, met  at Judy's  beautiful home up in the mountains.  Two of the prayer team live what I call up in the mountains.;  Judy  actually lives  on the  incline  of the  SW Blue Ridge,  but  Gerri, lives up at the  top of a mountain.  at the end of the  road.  Both homes are gorgeous and the views are  fabulous.  I love  going  visiting them,,, especially in the  spring and summer.  The flowers and  flowering trees are  so  beautiful!Today we shared prayer requests  for  over  an hour and prayed for  another  hour.  Altogether  we  were  doing   God's work   for 21/2  hours... When I got home Judy sent out a very pertinent email  how one of our prayers had already been answered.  God is so good!!!!

Well, it is now Thursday afternoon. I looked at the calendar and I had nothing going on  outside of our home tomorrow,  Friday,  so I would love to just spend the day with  dear hubby!  He has been doing work  in the yard all  week,  and I do hope that  we might  get out together, do some  marketing, and,  hopefully, stop   at the greenhouse and  get  some  hardy pansies, even though it will be much cooler next week,  those  beauties  are so hardy they should be fine. I miss seeing their smiling  faces in our  back   wall of  spring flowers.  There, the daffodils  are so prolific and I love the  hyacinths, too.  The bloodwort  is so sweet with their  sweet smiling countenances..    it should be a wonderful  day to spend outside together!

Tuesday 4

A Chilly March Day

 Hosted by Annie!

Today here on the middle Atlantic ocean, we have gale force winds, a bit of light snow and low temperatures. We are under a flood watch until 2PM Monday.   Of course it is still officially winter until the 19th of March and Spring is notoriously volatile.

Hot coffee/tea, candles, warm clothing are the order of the day..  It's nice to be cozy inside on a tempest tossed night like this.

1. What kind of weather makes you feel you need to dress up warmly? Firstly, here in Va we have endured those 40 mph winds the last few days, and going to church yesterday was dreadfully cold! It was hard to revert back to deep weather temps, but today has made up for it! During those cold, dreary days, I wear cosy warm clothing.  Usually sleepwear with a bulky sweater, and thick warm socks. I really enjoy my coffee and cocoa on such days, and most probably I’ll be bundled up in my cosy chair by the fire reading.

2  How is your weather so far this month? Are you happy with it or how would you improve it?well, I sor5 of answered above.  I do expect both types of weather in March here. We always get a one or the other in rather large doses. With the sun today our flowers really shouted out hello to us when we returned from the doctor’ s office.  The daffodils and hyacinths welcomed us with their great radiance and beautiful scents!

3. How do you handle very hot days where you live?well, I prefer cold to very hot. My days of adoring summer are over. I do not deal well with the humidity. So I stay inside  mostly and I will  enjoy sitting in our cooler sunroom  working on my nature journal which always brings me joy!

4.  Is weather an important reason for you to live where you are or would you move to a better climate if you could? Well, living in the Mid-Atlantic we are pretty sure to be able to enjoy the best part of the four seasons our Maker provides for us.  When it becomes too much of one or the other we are fortunate to make proper changes to our indoor climate.

I will add here, I do not believe in social climate change. I do not think that man has that much control over the world’s climate. I believe as throughout our geologic eons of time earth has experienced many cycles of natural climatic change, and ,unfortunately, the powers that be use climate change as a social issue to promote their wearisome agendas.

This past weekend was so chilly and windy it was unbearable to walk to your car from church, but today is most promising.. warmer temperatures and sunny!

  ♥♥ Right now I am ♥

Right now as I work on this post, I am listening to some of very favorite music from the most popular Croatian
Cellist, Hauser. I will put a video up below!

♥♥ Thinking and pondering ♥
Well, I was so looking forward to getting my stents out last Thursday after bearing with them for two weeks since my lithotripsy to crush my large kidney stone, but when I went to my appt Th, the doctor said not today, we need an x- ray from the hospital so I hied myself over to the hospital lab, had the X-ray and went on home hoping it would be read and .I’d get an appt for Friday! But no, I had to wait these three more days til today, Monday, when I truly hope he will remove the stents. They have become quite painful and I am losing a bit of blood several times a day. This has been quite an experience and not a welcome one! I appreciate any prayers  for my strength, courage, and forebearance through this procedure!  Thank you!

♥♥How am I feeling ♥♥

I would be lying if I said this has been no big deal.  But in fact I’d say it has because again through the forebearance, discomfort, and overall bleakness of it  it again is a learning curve.  An opportunity to learn more about God’s love, faithfulness, and each time I go through a health or pain issue, I learn that He is teaching me to believe more and more about Him and it strengthens my faith and ability to endure difficult times. Maybe as we are living in these end times that is how He prepares His children. In that regard I feel much beloved and cling to Him more each day!
   ♥♥ What am I Wearing♥♥
I am wearing my black and white stripe tunic from j jill and black slacks.

  ♥♥ Favorite Vlog ♥

This Hauser live in Zagreb.  This was the first video of his I watched and really enjoyed the passionate playing.  Now I listen to his playing before bed and sleep so well at night. I very rarely wake up and sit awake at night anymore.
I will share Hauser used to be part of a cellist team named 2 cellists, for a few years, but now he is on his own and he enjoys both classical and rock music. But more than that he promotes music across the spectrum.  He is trained all over Europe and the US. But mainly performs in Europe, although he is now promoting his summer tour here in the states. Music is very important to him and you see his skill is amazing.

Sunday Stealing

Sunday Stealing  Hosted by. Bev.

Welcome to Sunday Stealing. This feature originated

and published on WTIT: The Blog. Here we will steal

all types of questions from every corner of the

blogosphere. Our promise to you is that we will work

hard to find the most interesting and intelligent

questions. Cheers to all of us thieves.

Stolen from Friday Five

1) What is your favorite thing about winter?I love

the cosines of sitting curled up in my chair by the

fire reading a good book or listening to music.  I

particular love listening to carols, yes, even after

the big day!

2) What is your favorite winter sport?

Well, my days of participating are over, but I love

to watch ice skating and skiing competitions!

3) What is the best winter treat?

For me it is a wonderful homemade soup that

has been simmering in the crock pot with fresh

baked bread for dipping.  So yummy and warm.

4) What is the earliest time in the year it ever

snowed where you live? We have had snow on

Thanksgiving Day.

5) What is the best way to stay warm in the winter?

I many times will where my silk long underwear under

my slacks and sweater or under my pjs at night.

 I enjoy being cosy warm!

6) What are your favorite things that are paper?

A great book, stationary upon which to write a

friendly letter, a song book to sing from, wrapping

paper to send a special gift in, to name a few.

7) What are your favorite things that are cotton?

I love cotton sweaters,   Or at least cotton blend.

Wool ones can be difficult with moths etc, and

they can be itchy I prefer cotton Glen items like

sheets and table cloths..  I detest ironing. I love soft

cottony Turkish towels,

8) What are your favorite things that are leather?

I love leather purses, and belts,  hard leather shoes

are difficult for me now because of bad feet,

so .I mainly wear canvas shoes… sad to say.

9) What are your favorite things that are floral

I love floral paintings, nice artificial flowers for

creating realistic arrangements, floral scents for

perfumes and candles, not too strong, but just right!

10) What are your favorite things that are wood?

Tables, chairs, other and all types of furniture. I

still love my wood hutch etc that designers tell us

are passe’ .  Not to me., I really  enjoy styling my

hutch and other wooden furniture pieces. I love

trays and charcuterie boards in wood.  I use my

mother’s wooden dough board in my table during

the year.

11) If you think your house is haunted, what should

you do? It may be for all I know. I’ve been told

some died in our home years before we bought

it. It is such a wonderful home it never bothers

me if anyone wishes to pass through it occasion-.

ally Not that I really believe in such, but who knows.?

I know my mother told us that while dad drove up

to college to pick me up when hubs mother passed,

he was in the military and the Red Cross was

flying him home.  Mom was taking a shower and

her a voice in the house. It was Lynn’s mother

beseeching mom to look after her children. Mom

actually stepped out of the shower when she

heard the voice and it continued talking to her.

Mom was a very rational and sensible Christian

woman, but she knew it was Lynn’s  mom and

she was not afraid!

12) When should you investigate a strange noise

in your basement?

I hear strange noises all the time. Our home is

78:years old. It makes many noises, and especially

our gas furnace. I’ve gotten used to them. I

wouldn’t  be happy if I heard glass breaking.

Then I’d call the police.

13) How do you know if an abandoned building is

safe to visit?

Why would I?

14) How do you decide whether to solve a problem

as a team, or split up and go it  alone? Teamwork

is always best!

15) Where do you store your knives and where

would you look if one was missing? In the kitchen,

 and in the kitchen!
