Tuesday 4

Around the House
1. Do you have pets ? What kind of pets do you have? Photos?
I have always been a cat person..  I had  a beautiful white kitten as  a little girl, named Snowball,  then my first boyfriend gave me  another  beautiful male  white cat  which together we named Sean Connery,  and then of Amanda we had  a gorgeous male Tabby with white socks..

2. Do you have a weekly menu you plan out? Would you share it with us, or perhaps a short list of meals you make often? It gives other people ideas !
My short list would included:
1)Roasted pork loin, rice and peas (Amanda's favorite)
2)Chef salad with fried chicken strips on top, bleu cheese dressing
3)Braised boneless pork strips  then  broiled with  BBQ sauce to  sort of blacken them up, Boiled Yukon gold  potatoes with  peas,  tossed salad
4) Boiled  Gulf shrimp   from the grocer refrigerated, cocktail sauce, cole slaw, french fries
5) Deconstructed taco salad using  nacho chips, cheese,  meat,  and  shredded  lettuce, tomato,

3.Where do you do your grocery shopping? Do you like that store or do you go to others to fill in the gaps?
Our regular store is Kroger

4.  What kind of house do you live in or is it an apartment. Describe it. What changes would you make to it if you could?
We live in what is called an English Tudor,  but  it  doesn't have all the English bells and whistles..  but does have an English mantel and beautiful  huge  wide plank  front door.

Imagine stucco and timber effect on the yellow  and your get  an idea of how it ought to look,  but the  thickly stuccoed  inside walls  are  very  English and my anglophile temperament loves  our little English home.  But the older I get  the stairs become more and more difficult.  We have a friend who is a realtor and we are  speaking to him to be on the look out for us  for a nice patio home!
Hosted by Annie in honor of  of our dear friend, Toni!

  4. Your home is beautiful! Stairs can be good exercise for arthritis or bad news. I hope you find it gets better for you. It's awful to hurt. I have always liked homes with a chimney on the front like yours. My aunt and uncle had that on their home when I was a child and I loved their home with a passion!
Thank you so much for joining in and making the first new Tuesday 4 a success.

  5. That menu sounds fantastic!
I love your house, it is beautiful. We have a single story, so I am glad for that. I have to climb stairs at work, and it is horrible on my hips.
Your kitty is precious! Loved your answers. Have a nice week.

  7. Schotzy, I replied to your comment on my blog just now, but I didn't know if you'd see it or not. Look up Julia Bettencourt. Her site is where I get a lot of my ministry ideas from. Right now I'm working on "It's About Time!" I keep getting a check down in my spirit about how short time really is and how we need to be about the Father's work. It's been years since I focused my attention on ministry goals and it's time to jump in with both feet! I'll be praying for you as you seek the Lord's will, wisdom, and direction in every area and, if you don't mind, can you email me your mailing address, please? You can send it to: proverbs31heart@yahoo.com. Thanks! And blessings for a happy, healthy, and prosperous new year! <3
