Our Wonderful Day!!!!

Yesterday was such a great day! Six of us traveled up the valley to Fincastle for luncheon at the White Oak Tea Room! Our objective... was trifold! First of all, I mean,,, the tea room is an awesome place for lunch! They only serve two things... baked cheese/artichoke chicken salad or a cold cranberry pecan crusted chicken salad, both of these are perfection! Then there is a huge selection of teas and for the season a delicious wassail.
Secondly, the six of us wanted to discuss starting a First Place Bible study at our church starting in January. we all participate in Frieda's exercise program and wanted to incorporate the Bible study and diet into our efforts to get healthy!

And we all have such a great time together... what a fun group of ladies to share with!!

Like Sherry, heehee, all decked out in her jewels and furs!!! Actually, I am really trying not to covet her new coat!! Just kidding, but it is fabulous!!

God is so wonderful to place such sweet, precious ladies in my life! I just love them all. Here, Gerri and Janice are looking like they have a secret that they are just bursting to tell! But not yet!!

First, Dottie has to finish pouring out the tea all around, and then we have to partake of our fabulous repast!

I am so partial to the cold cranberry chicken salad.... um, um, good! and then we come to the third reason to get together... a surprise birthday party for dear, Dottie!

I do believe she was surprised!!!

Gerry had made the chocolate with raspberry cake from scratch! And then we all waddled home!
