1. When and where were the best fireworks you've ever seen? Speaking of fireworks...do you know your hot buttons? The things people can say and/or do to set you off? When was the last time someone pushed one of your hot buttons?
Absolutely I do remember the best  fireworks ever..  were at  Disney World.. we were there on our honeymoon at the end of  March 1972...  and  the park  had only been open a very short while...Of course, we took advantage of our one day pass..and helped close the park...  the  fireworks at the end of the day  were  awesome... including the  water  features in the lake..  all synchronized...  we  were  spellbound!! Here is   the current  extravaganza!

I was just set off yesterday actually...at just shy of age 67  I   have to admit that all these  fraudulent phone calls  we  receive... sometimes  a dozen a day,,, get on my last nerve....now of course,  I have to  check the  caller id every time  in hopes it may be family...    and now  the  scammers are  so good  they can actually  make the call appear to be someone else.... like  yesterday it was   saying it  was  the NRA...  but  the "NRA " has  tried to call us  everyday  right around lunch time   for the last month.. It set me off yesterday...so  went ahead and answered it.  Of course, it wasn't long before I knew it wasn't the NRA  but  scammers  looking for information...I  went livid....  and wasn't very nice...after it was  over  I  truly felt that I was going to have a stroke....  I do not want to leave this world  telling off a scammer...not good!!!

2. Have you hosted any outdoor summer parties this year? Attended any? What makes for a great outdoor party?

We have a standing invitation to our annual  Memorial day pot luck cookout at a dear friend's house...  it is usually just  about 6-8 of us...  Our hosts live in the mountains and it is always  perfect weather... and  we dine  on their  screened in   deck/with  ceiling fan,  music,   and the most amazing views...  I love the  menus.. the typical  cookout fare...  the  ambience  of the  venue...  but  mostly  I love the  close knit  fellowship   that is sure to  bind our hearts in  phileo love  that   I'm sure will continue  in the  heavenly realms...  I always think I want to host  a summer  party,  but  our place is just so hot...the ambience  is not there.

3. What does freedom mean to you?

This time of year I am always reminded  where  freedom originates...   it is  from the truth  that  emanates from   on high... from the spirit of God    to us  to  deliver us from the  clutches  of the evil one and his schemes..  working both  toward us inwardly and  from outward  circumstances. Then I am reminded that  securing liberty and freedom is and has been bought with a price...eternally,  as well  as,  through the sacrifices  of  brave men and women  in our history.  Society has established  our  God given basic rights  in the writing of our Constitution...
We, the people of the  United States of America, in order to establish justice,   ensure domestic tranquility, provide  for the common defense,  promote the general welfare, and  secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity do ordain and establish this Constitution  of the United States of America.  The  first  10 Amendments,  the Bill of Rights  goes on to   lay out  and  defend  those rights...  that  secure  our freedoms of speech,  to bear arms,   to assemble, and to  worship  freely, etc.  I don't mean to give a history lesson,  but    without our history  we lose sight of the  truths of history.  I am appalled that youths today  do not understand patriotism  nor  the  history  that  explains what  Independence Day is all about... The evil in our world is seeking to  eradicate  history  and  all forms of nationalism  in order to  propel  the One World  system and socialism...  it is incumbent on parents to make sure  that their children know our history  and hold dear the tenets of  liberty,  for  unfortunately, more and more our schools  are not doing that!!!

4. July is National Cell Phone Courtesy month...what annoys you most about people's cell phone habits?

I   find  it a bit amusing,  then  very   sad  when I see Christmas photos on the Internet  ..  set the scene:  Christmas morning,  the  wrapping paper is strewn all over the floor, and there  amidst the  chaos  sit  three generations of family  focused entirely on their cell phones.  NO  personal communication,   sharing of joy or loving memories..  just the addicting allure of  social media  and  voyeurism  into the lives of others....  video games  that often times  is pouring  vitriol  violence into the hearts of our youth.

5. What's your current summer anthem?

It would have to be
The Falling Leaves  drift past my window..
Sorry,  but I am an Autumn Gal.

6.  Insert your own random thought here.

Well,  to continue that idea   from # 5 this year I  particularly look forward to fall because  daughter's  family is  planning on coming to see us   then.  They haven't been here in two years...  We have been going to see them, because of the  difficult logistics of traveling with  two toddlers.  This  Granny is really  looking forward to making some  marvelous memories  for us....
