Friday''s Favorite Family Foto

I would like to share this photo I took of my grandfather probably 35 years ago. He was born in 1895 and fought in WWI in France. He was a very proud American and loved history and our country so much. He was a dairy farmer who built his own home, raised a fine family, and was a productive, involved citizen for all of his 87 years. He passed into glory in 1982, 3 years before Amanda was born.

  1. How sweet to honor such a fine man. America could use a more few good men like him today.
    Thanks for sharing.

  3. Your grandfather looks like such a sweet man! I read the poem you wrote to your daughter. My oldest daughter will be going away to college next year, so that really hit close to home.

  7. Your grandpa was a real cutie pie! That is a precious picture! It was so nice of you to share a little of his background. Dairy farming is one of the toughest jobs...have to be there EVERY DAY...never a break! He must have been a very hard working man!

Congratulations on your 600th post! What a milestone!!!
