We came upon this wonderful new bridge that spans the historic James River and the landscape revealed the expanse of the amazing coastal plain of Virginia, far different from the Blue Ridge Mountains of home.
and then we headed due east across myriad forests and murky swamp land
heading all the while to fabulous.... Williamsburg!
We were particularly interested in the Market Square area at the west end of Duke of Gloucester Street- main street to the Colonial town.
My main objective to buy something for my Vintage Christmas Swap partner hosted by Heidi of Foxglove, Fabric, and Folly!
Williamsburg is glorious this time of year!
We were in Williamsburg last spring, for the first time. Loved it!! They also have a great antique mall on the outskirts there.
