Word Filled Wednesday

Photobucket
AmyDeanne of the 160 Acre Woods hosts this wonderful theme today so we can honor the Word of God. As we approach the coming election I feel a sense of foreboding. I dont want to be faithless in my belief and I do know that God is in complete control, but I sense that calamity is coming no matter who wins the election! I take solace in this scripture.

  1. Beautiful photo, and very powerfully done. It does convey your look of forboding so well.

God is still in charge. No matter who wins the election. But I do understand your feelings, like there's this huge storm coming.

  2. Indeed, while we are aware that unsettling times are ahead, we may take comfort that God is still in control of the lives of those who call upon His mighty Name.

  3. Fear not. God will still be God no matter who wins....we must simply pray, as you reminded us. I have felt that familiar tug, too, but am peace with it now. I'm praying for God's will to be done. Worrying over it isn't helping, but suffice it to say that my concern is on "high", hah hah. I love the picture and verse you chose this WFW! Have a great day!

  4. beautiful photo and powerful words. John Piper wrote about the election a few days ago and said something that really comforted me...no matter who wins the election we still have a ruler, a King, who is over everything...His name? Jesus.

    Blessings.
